How this works about 12 minutes for all 80

You are judging what a generated garment image actually shows, not whether it looks good. 85 images, one at a time. Nobody will see your answers and nobody will grade you.

Judge the picture, not the garment

Ignore the fabric, the colour, the lighting and the styling. You are looking at construction: the hood, the collar, the small metal hardware.

Count exactly

If you can see three toggles, say three. Binning counts into ranges hides exactly the variation this study is measuring.

Say when you cannot tell

"Cannot determine" is a real answer and is treated as one. It is kept off the other scales on purpose, because a guess is worse than a gap.

Zoom in

Eyelets and cord toggles are small. Use the + control and scroll or drag to look closely before you answer.

Question 1 comes first, and it is a real gate

If the collar area is too obscured or too small to judge, answer no and the rest is skipped. That is not giving up. It is the most useful thing you can do, because a study that records a judgement where there was no evidence is worse than one that records the gap.

Judge what the picture shows

85 garment images, one at a time. Answer only what you can see in this frame. Describe the construction, not whether you like it.

Small detail? Zoom in. Scroll or drag to pan.
1 Is the collar region clear enough in this image to judge how the hood and collar are built?

If no, the rest is skipped and only the note below is asked.

2 Where is the hood?
what counts as up, and what counts as down

up is raised around or behind the head with a visible face opening, a cavity you could put a head through.
down is folded behind the neck, or a stand collar band with no cavity. A thick roll of fabric at the back of the neck is down.
Apply it literally.

3 Are metal eyelets, the small round metal rings set into the fabric, visible in the collar or hood edge?

Presence only. Counting is not required here.

4 How many drawcord toggles can you see? Those are the small barrel-shaped cord stoppers.

Count the toggles only. Not the cord, not the eyelets. Exact numbers, no grouping.

5 Looking at the inside edge of the collar, is there a contrasting coloured binding or trim?

If other colour, name the colour in the note below.
